They also support the development of tourism infrastructure, such as accommodation facilities, transportation networks, and visitor centers, to improve the overall visitor experience.

This department is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with local communities, tourism stakeholders, and government agencies. They work to engage communities in tourism development initiatives, address concerns and issues, and ensure that tourism benefits are shared equitably among all stakeholders. They also facilitate collaboration and partnerships between various stakeholders to support sustainable tourism practices and maximize the social and economic benefits of tourism for local communities.

The Visitor Services and Support Department provides information, assistance, and support to visitors during their stay in Edo State. They operate visitor centers, information kiosks, and tourist information hotlines to provide information on attractions, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services. They also offer assistance with itinerary planning, booking reservations, and resolving any issues or concerns that visitors may encounter during their visit.

This department conducts research and analysis to support the strategic planning and decision-making processes of the Edo State Tourism Agency. They gather data on tourism trends, market demand, visitor preferences, and competitor destinations to inform marketing strategies, product development initiatives, and policy decisions. They also monitor the impact of tourism on local communities, culture, and environment, and use this information to guide efforts to promote sustainable tourism practices and responsible travel behaviors.

The Environmental Conservation and Sustainability Department focuses on promoting environmental conservation and sustainable tourism practices in Edo State. They implement initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of tourism activities, such as waste management programs, energy conservation measures, and biodiversity conservation projects. They also work to raise awareness among tourists and local communities about the importance of protecting the natural environment and preserving cultural heritage for future generations.

This department is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of visitors to Edo State. They collaborate with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and tourism stakeholders to implement safety and security measures, such as surveillance systems, patrol routes, and emergency response protocols. They also provide safety tips and information to visitors, monitor potential safety hazards, and respond to any incidents or emergencies that may occur during their visit.
