Edo State Tourism Revenue Hits ₦8.2 Billion in 2025
The Edo State Tourism Agency (EDSTA) has announced that tourism revenue for 2025 reached a record ₦8.2 billion, representing a 34% increase over 2024. The growth is attributed to the successful hosting of the Igue Festival, increased international visitor arrivals, and the launch of the Edo Tourism digital platform.

Governor Godwin Obaseki credited the growth to sustained investment in heritage preservation and digital tourism infrastructure. 'Edo State is open for business, and our ancient culture is our greatest asset,' he stated.

The agency projects further growth in 2026 with the expansion of certified tour guide programs and new hotel developments in the GRA district.
